Carnew presented with Heartsafe Community Award
Bridget Sinnott from the Irish Heart Foundation was in Carnew on Tuesday July 29th to present Carnew First Responders with a Heartsafe Community Award. This award is in recognition of the steps that Carnew have taken to become a heartsafe community. Carnew First Responders have strengthened the chain of survival in their community by training representatives from local organisations in C.P.R and the use of defibrillators. Over the last nine year Carnew First Responders have assisted the ambulance service in one hundred and sixteen callouts.
